Aggressive driver Terry hills - Watch out Brown Nissan Pulsar

As cyclists we interact with some monumental idiots on the road but this guy is showing form and so posting a warning. Last week saw this driver blasting his horns and being a DH to two girls on McCarrs then he closed shaved me and the next guy at speed. This morning saw him again around 9am as I was heading into Duck Holes - doing the same thing this time I was lucky and on opposite side of the road. Cleary a local or regular.
The guy has a problem with bikes - It's a dark brown POS Nissan Pulsar - Plate starts with WMN - I think.
Watch out and try and get his plate

Have you filed a Police report? By the sounds of it the guy has form.

WTF is wrong with this human species? Some are that dumb they'd behave this way... Does this jerk mount pavements and rundown pedestrians too?

Haven't spoken with Police yet as only have partial plate but hoping to crowd source the plate and any further exploits. Right now its his word against mine and that's as far as it would go - if someone else sees the same driver doing the same thing then a whole different ball game for the cops. Also its recorded here and someone else can refer to it if they have an issue

Where it becomes important is when (not if) he or she eventually crosses a line and does someone some harm.

Having your information in COPS and then being available to testify that this was part of a pattern of behaviour will mean sentencing is much more likely to achieve a just outcome. Perhaps with a custodial sentence where otherwise they might simply be slapped with a fine or points.

There was an incident in the US recently where a doctor coward passed and then brake-tested a couple of cyclists on a mountain road, with one of them crashing head-first through the back window.

The testimony of other riders who had seen similar aggressive behaviour or been on the receiving end of it meant it could not be portrayed by the defense as out-of-character accident or a first offense. From memory there was video evidence and I believe the offender went to jail for a short period.

In my case, where I was assaulted in the surf on multiple occasions by an ice addict at Narrabeen, the number of witnesses I was able to pull together via social networks along with the number who responded directly to Police was instrumental in successfully getting the guy a criminal record.

However, without those multiple contacts first being in the COPS system, the detectives would not have become interested in the case and it would never have gained enough momentum to achieve a result.

Along the lines of aggression against cyclist, on McCarrs Road someone keeps pulling down the RMS signs saying to be careful as cyclists in the area.
