Rain or Shine:
I'll be there, no matter what the weather.
Meeting Point:

Somewhere in the Snowy Mountains. See the website: http://www.alpsepic.com.au/

Details:

From their website:

The staged mountain bike race will be held over 5 days including 8 stages. Each day will start in a new town within the region. The course will include some of the countries best mountain bike trails. The tracks will be a combination of new and existing single track and fire trails in the Kosciuszko National Park and surrounding areas. The area is famous for its mountains, rivers, lakes and stunning scenery.

This annual event will “tour” the Snowy Mountains Region. Each day will comprise one or two stages before participants continue on to a new town (or “overnight stop”) for the night. Bring this on! I haven't done any multi-day events but this sounds like a corker to start that trend on. If they throw a run down the Cannonball in as part of it all the better! Eye-wink

looks very cool! :)

Well it's a big one to do, but I'm keen.
It would depend on getting a support crew together, decide whether to do solo (or a team of 4, that would be more fun).
Always wanted to do a stage race like the wildside or the central australian challenge, but they've been too far for logistics.

FYI:
Categories
Individual

Open Male, Open Female, Male Master 40-49, Female Master 40-49, Male Super Master 50+, Female Super Master 50+
This is the general category for most riders, from social "sightseeing" riders through to some of the best riders in the world!

Relay Pair

Male, Female, Mixed.
Aimed at riders who may not choose to, or be able to, complete all the stages. Find a friend and one can support while the other rides! Also great for couples who may be bringing their family along - one rides, the other on family duty. No sheepstations are up for grabs in this category and likewise there are no age group differentiations.

Team of 4

No gender or age differentiation - just a team of 4!
Four individual riders who group themselves under a team name. Elite teams, corporate group or a social friends, this category is a great way to share the race with others. The top 3 individual times within the team count for each stage.

hey guys just wondering if

The Epic looks easier than the Mtns to Sea thing on around the same time, so if I get to do one, looks like it'll be the epic.

I'm sure you'd be good with either of 'em Alex... unless you eat too much turkey over xmas! Eye-wink
