Great condition as ground is hard and grippy.

Came over the blind A line jump at about 8km where you land and immediately turn right or you end up in a dam. As I'm coming in to land on the front wheel there is a red belly cross the path about 3m away so here's slithery thing trying like all hell to move out of the way but slipping on the sandy surface and going nowhere while Fatboy lands on front wheel and is all over the brakes. Naturally I go into a front wheel slide and realise I'm going to land on slithery thing.

Lucky for both of us I stayed upright and he got some grip and got out of my way.

Had a similar incident a few months back (not at Wylde). On a fast piece of single track with no escape route I came upon a big black snake coming along the track towards me - way too much front brake had me doing the circus bike act teetering on a OTB trying to pull up. Lucky for the snake it saw me with a metre to spare and took off. Lucky for me I avoided the OTB and a head-butt of the snake - imagine the difficulty trying to explain to the emergency department how I got bitten on the nose.

Red belly crossed my path there Monday last week... It was towards the end of the loop along "Fence fun, drink now"... It was my 3rd lap of the 12km loop and I was buggered... Fortunately I was going that slow it give him plenty of time to slither into the bushes... Even the adrenalin spike didn't make me any faster... The snake played god and I was saved Eye-wink
