AYUP Battery question

I have a half epic battery - some years old now and use it as a flasher - this morning stopped flashing but will light up constantly but only in high - assume the battery is cactus/on the way out?
Just want to check if someone else has had the same as the replacement is over $100

I know zip about AyUp stuff but I'd assume there is a faulty connection in the light unit itself. On a couple of cheap LED driver boards I have had you could bridge two solder points to make it high beam only, maybe they have something similar and a wire is loose/has moved or the driver could just be faulty.

The light is fine, the switch is in the battery. Mine did the same and has kept working as high only now for a few years. Call AyUp, sometimes they will sell you a replacement for a cheaper price as your are an existing customer.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative any 2 cell LiPo battery will run them, I have run mine for years off a $15 LiPo (probably from hobbyking) and it is fine. You will probably just have to change the plug on the battery.
