About as good as it gets.
One puddle on the golf course sniggle just before the lookout, wet as usual at the creek and a few puddles on the 19th hole. All else dry and good. That high rollover on the left just before the park/bridge at Allambie is fine again.
Possums & KC are in great shape.

.. is that the one that tips to the right and down just before the first bridge, with about 3 different line choices?

Normally I stay high and left but it was on the way to rutting out when I rode last weekend.

Also, on the last roll-down at 19th Hole there was a branch growing out at face height on the chicken iine to the right.

Cluck... cluck....

Simple fix, don't use the chicken run Eye-wink

Yep that's the rollover. Heaps better than last weekend - now back to fine form - slightly thinner line but all good to stay high and left.
Just have to sort the mental issues on the double step up before the trig trail - tomorrow.....

The double step-up...

If that's the bit I'm thinking about just before the 1st single track that runs parrell to Wake Hurst parkway the following will help you master it:

Don't cross over it to the right as you climb... Go in a straight line from bottom to top (it might feel and look like the wrong line) and in a gear that lets you push the pedals gently without spinning your rear wheel... Body movement is really crucial on that climb. Once you've got it you'll never miss again (unless someone stops in front of you!).

Thanks - yep that's the one.

of the short pinch steep climb after what I call the three-rock-step-up? You turn right, roll off the rock at the top and then about 20 metres later you're into that buy rock garden?

That's messing with my head at the moment too. As is the first step-up after the rock garden. That angled rock.... Sad

andyfev's picture

Sounds like that's the one. Those angled rock faces often make you naturally follow the grain of the rock thus giving you very little traction for the rear tyre... Straighten her up and you'll get up 'em!
