Hi,
I'll have one day in the Hunter, this coming Sunday.

Any recommendations for a trail to ride? Something XC, don't mind a few hills, looking for somewhere I can work up a sweat, maybe about 30-45kms, (laps are OK if necessary).

I'll be riding in the MTBGP @ Singleton on Saturday, so just want to sample something else while I'm around.

I was sort of interested in the James Estate trail, just because I have heard of it, I'll be staying close to Singletone, but don't mind driving.

Thanks,
G.

Out and back firetrail with a big climb to start and that same climb to descend at the end.

Ridge top trail in between with some nice views and some smaller climbs. Watch that descent at the end; it's very steep, very fast and very rutted!

James Estate is good but further from Sydney. You could try The Common out at Dungog. Pretty easy to follow and a sweet ride. About a 12km loop with some really nice sections 1 hour from Singleton. If you do three laps around that you'll be sweating
