Kids bike races
My little one, 6 yrs, is keen to do some bike races. Are there any local events with kids races?

You would need to hook up with a club.
I am not sure what MWMTB does but they dont have regular events, so closest would be WSMTB at Yellomundee.
Another option would be track cycling. Those guys are pretty well organised and have loaner bikes available for people to try on the day including kids. the.flying.al got his kids involved in racing via this route so he would be a good contact.
Yes WSMTB as @hawkeye says do kids races each month before we do ours. They have a loop of about 400m for the small kids then do a portion of our track for the bigger kids. They start from about 2-3yo. Next event is tomorrow morning. I think the kids are usually on at 8am but check their website if you are interested.
