Pedaling, pedaling hard, pedaling a bit harder still, standing up and pedaling, standing up and really pedaling hard, the gut busting heart attack effort pedaling, coasting (resting), lightly pedaling while coasting and if all else fails walking like everyone else does.
So there you have your standard 9 gears just like everyone else except the bigger wheels give him an advantage over those kiddie-sized wheels that most bikes have.
Yeh I realised they were upside down when I took them off (I swapped those grips for nice blue Yeti grips with ODI plugs). I also swapped the stem for a white Syncros off my 26" SS, I also swapped the seatpost for a Thompson.
I swapped the saddle as well and here I had two choices a Specialized that has a lot of paddling and a Fi'zik Gobi (the same as on my Yeti). I went with the Specialized but now I'm thinking I should put the Gobi on so my riding interface gets used to the Gobi on all rides. Any thoughts?
LOL... those bar plugs are so rare I have a set sitting in the back of the car!
OK, so maybe not exactly the same, but the locking method looks to be. They are heavy suckers though - that's why they are in the back of the car (any DH/FR riders want to take them off my hands)?
Go with the Gobi, they're a great saddle and you'll be used to it in absolutely no time. I've got them or Fizik Aliante's on all my bikes, well all the bikes that take a seat Wouldn't swap em for anything else.
I went back to a bigger Syncros for a few weeks but hated feeling like I was flopping about on a mattress!
Steel is the new Carbon...
Congrats Paul - schweeet new steed.
Steel is the new Carbon...
I've got some nice CNC'ed polished metal bar-end plugs to go with this...(PM me if you're interested)

Nice one mate,
but they forgot to put the gears on again
Hans, Thanks, but I have
Hans,
Thanks, but I have swapped the Al bars for carbon bars - as they aren't reinforced I dare not cramp bar-ends on.

Plenty Of Gears.
It looks like it has plenty of gears.

Damien it sounds like you have a lot of experience pedalling,
just what is it you are usually trying to sell? Sorry Paul back on topic now, really nice looking bike
Nothing.
Nothing really I like my bike.
Tip
The waffle bit on your grips should be facing you when you're on the bike, so turn them round 180.
bar-plugs that fit carbon bars...
Paul
I was thinking of bar-plugs that fit your carbon bars...(not bar-ends)
Like these ultra-rare beauties...

I Agree.
I like the Gobi as well there a nice saddle once you get used to them.
Go the Gobi...
Ergonomic and ample padding, which is relative I suppose.
