Hi all , arriving in Sydney on 7th February and travelling to orange , up to singleton and Newcastle area
Looking for some long day rides or over nighters in these areas , experienced riders so hills and rough trails okay
Have got two weeks in the area , any suggestions would be great , cheers

Drive about three hours South to Canberra, plenty of overnight options down here or you could try the Great Northern Road about an hour or so North of Sydney: http://nobmob.com/rides/greatnorthernroad

If you lookup HURT (HuRT - Hunter Race Trail) in Facebook, you'll see there is a pretty considerable trail (not for the faint hearted) that runs from Newcastle to Lithgow/Blue Mountains.

Here is a Nobmob thread about it from 2012: http://nobmob.com/node/39434

Its on my long term wishlist in about 2 lifetimes away.

try the dirty 200/400/600 routes. nice 200k loop from Morrisett to Cessnock and back, can be done in a day or two with an overnight in Cessnock, bump'n'grind or bikepacking aus FB pages should have the gpx files.
