Hi,

How about a new twist on the night ride??? For those of you wanting a firetrail night ride there is one posted on Wednesday, I can't generally make Wednesdays and I have never done the dam in the dark so why not???

If you haven't done the dam before... ever. Its probably worth doing this in the day first before you do it at night however if you are good at mountain biking and never done it you'll be fine!.

We will have a beer somewhere along the trail if it isn't too cold

First time

I will be the guinea pig to see if you need to do the Manly Dam in day light before doing it as night ride. Heard lots of talk of Manly Dam hope it good.

Dam

Submitted by lozza6 on Mon, 30/06/2008 - 09:37.

Its dried up nicely Smiling

Will come along for a spin on Tuesday night Smiling

The last time I did the Dam at night I dislocated 2 fingers in a big off. Surprisingly little other damage considering how much sliding I managed...

It was my first Dam night ride and my 2nd time at the Dam ever...

I will be more cautious this time....

Note: Stay to the left on the 2nd downhill after heartbreak hill....

The Long Way Home.

Submitted by Damien on Mon, 30/06/2008 - 11:03.

I am going to do this ride as part of my Tuesday commute home so it will be Annandale - Manly - Fivedock 60km or there abouts.

Excellent!

Thats a nice ride Damien!

do you commute with your bog standard MTB?

I'll be commuting home, but will have to change bikes to then go to the Dam...

Single Speed Roadie.

Submitted by Damien on Mon, 30/06/2008 - 11:14.

I have a single speed flat bar road bike for the commute to work and the morning training ride it runs a 42 x 17 gear ratio. I will ride the mountain bike tomorrow I stick more to the footpaths when I ride it to work as its geared for off road but that just makes for a fun ride to work.

Sorry but no longer can do.

2nd lap

Submitted by Buck on Tue, 01/07/2008 - 23:02.

Well probably should have gone home after the first lap. Had 3 stacks on the 2nd lap! Nothing major but annoying.
