Green/Open Trails have been restored after the flooding of 2016 and the 2017 race loop (27kms) is dry, fast and loose.

The dust is a good reason to get to the front of the pack in the sprint to the singletrack!
While the dust was certainly good reason to be at the front of the pack, you need the legs and ability to realise that ambition. With young Tristan at the front of the 50 field and James Downing heading up the 100, I was, inevitably, just a bit off the pace....
