First Ride in a Month!

For various reasons I haven't ridden for a month, and in all that time swimming a few laps on one occasion is the only exercise I've put in. Oh dear, oh dear.
Well, it's a nice day so just went for a gentle trundle around the streets I usually commute on and managed 23km, 500-ish vertical in about 75 mins. OMG, what a disgrace! In summer I was doing over 30km and twice the vertical on the commute home in maybe 15 mins more. That said, I was taking it very easy today.
Now all the trails have to do is dry out and can do some real riding

My first ride today toooo
I hit the soggy fire road near home for an hour of slow peddlin fun after a week feeling as crook as rookwood, ( Ok i had a man flu....even kept the bike in the car at Sparrow Hill ) and it felt great . Bring on CORC round 3 next weekend ......

I'm approaching 2 months
I'm approaching 2 months without a ride and I haven't done one bit of exercise. I'm scared to weigh myself as I can feel I have put on heaps.

first ride too
Monday was my first proper off road ride in 5 months...great to be back but still not fully recovered from my arm fracture last January then & knee pain last April (I thought bugger the knee I could still DO a cruisy TH ride which seemed to have somehow helped healing a bit)
And yes I also saw Christine and quite a few nobs at TH on a mystery twilight ride
