Hi folks,

was planning on heading out Sat morning, somewhere other than Terrey Hills or the Dam. I was thinking Ourimbah, Red Hill or Oxford Falls, however I haven't done any of these before. If anyone is keen to come along/got any other plans, please drop me a line.

Thanks, Liam

If you goto Oxford Falls I'll come - ask Craig - know the place like the back of my hand! Eye-wink

OK, OK - I mean, promise to just do the Little Moab lookout, XC loop (no-where near Road to No-where), and Moon Rock, with perhaps trip to the Waterfalls if you feel the need.

How's 8:30? Second right turn in Morgan Road when coming from Forest Way. Check Oxford Falls to see what I'm on about.

Reasoning is this: Red Hill will be drity, dirty, dirty and I need to be back too early to hit Ourimbah.

Any takers?

I'd be up for the falls on Sat, love that XC track and road to somewhere can be interesting, agree with your logic on Red Hill and I'd be a sleep deprived zombie at Ourimbah!

See you there, Ta.
Matt.

Ok, Oxford Falls sounds good.

See you there

Sorry guys,

will have to pull the pin- I had a catastrophic derailler explosion at Manly Dam this morning. I'm awaiting a new hanger from Kona, which won't arrive till next week.

I'm heading OS on Monday, so will hopefully catch you in a few weeks.

Have a good ride,

Liam

In fact I'd rather a bit more rain, keeps the trails packed and the bike clean!

Hey, I'll be there too. Will ride down from my place.

Rob??? bugger the rain, you get that wet from sweat anyway Smiling

Liam, I am working Saturday so if you want to borrow my bike you are more than welcome - I live in Oxford Falls so it's not hard to collect...
Let me know on the mobile as, as everyone by now probably knows I am about the only person in the world who doesn't have a computer at home!!!
but you are more than welcome to take it...

Alright Craig, the forecast sucks, but what the hell - this place is good even in the wet.

See you there no matter what.

Erm... another rather eventful day at the 'falls:

Lap 2 is new PB for the XC Circuit (10m11s) Smiling

We took a trip down Lizard Rock which is slightly crazy to say the least. I bailed twice on a roll off before getting it right. Matt had a very nasty looking broken helmet experience (at the same point I then had another bailing experience into soft sand - luckily). He seemed OK later - mate, hope you're not too sore!

No dramas, home and checked out OK (nothing that can't be cured by a nice cup of tea and some ibuprofen) and Father Christmas is coming early with a new helmet to replace my severely busted lid. I'd post a picture if I could figure out how as it's got a couple of big sections flapping off the left side, more impressive than I noticed earlier.

Will be back on the bike in days to work on better bike balance for those innocuous looking jumps... now time to tinker with some things...

Ta ta,
Matt.

I knew it was bloody good but he does cheat... 7 minutes 25 seconds! Here's the scam - not going to the right of the aero club field, turning left back to the 4wd track and then right back to the start. Intravenous Gu anybody?

when you see him ride, you will see why he is so dam fast, I learnt a hell of a lot about the value of coordination by seeing him do slalom.
FYI He will be attempting to take veterans at the Nationals at Yarramundi on sunday afternoon if you wanna see some great riding.
