| Sparrow Hill | Sweetest single track I have ever ridden. All in pine forests on buff trail.

| The Oaks | The main Oaks Firetrail is one of the classic Blue Mountains rides, but there's more in this area than just that.
| | 5 |
| Ourimbah State Forest | Championship downhill course, many Km of single trail and even further firetrail - Ourimbah has it all.
| | 3 |
| Andersons | Think of this as The Oaks big brother. Longer, steeper, rougher, tougher climb at the end, harder to get to. Up to the reader to decide if these things make for a better ride.

| Appin | Brilliant and technical XC course built by the kind folk at WMBC - one of the finest around Sydney. Looks to be plenty of firetrail in the area too, but with sniggle this good, why would you waste your time there?
| | 2 |
| Great Northern Road | Rough firetrail along old convict road between Sydney and Newcastle. You'd be mad to drive there now, but parts (not all) are great for cycling.
| | 1 |
| Majura Pines | Pine forest, dense in places with many, many single track routes through it. Fire trail separates the pine 'blocks' and makes climbing up the short hills a bit easier. Amazing fun and many options to take.
| | 1 |
| Lisdale State Forest | Sweet loop through dense pine forest. CTMTB Club run XC races here and have done an outstanding job with track work. There's also miles more fire trail South of the highway if sniggle isn't your thing?
| | 1 |
| Pine Creek | Miles of sniggle and fire trail though lush native forest - what more could you ask for?
| | 1 |
| Brisbane Water National Park | A strange mish-mash of single track and fire trail leads to amazing views South over the water and to West Head.
| | 1 |
| Manly Dam | One of Sydney's best rides - From Beginner to Intermediate and even Advanced, all enjoy this ride.
| | 9 |
| Bantry Bay | Some out & back and some loops make a nice addition to a lap of Manly Dam.
| | 3 |
| Kincumber Reserve | Small but sweet downhill trail located at Kincumber Reserve, just south of Gosford. Requiring at least an intermediate rider skill, it also has decent surrounding fire trails for those not game for technical riding.
| | 4 |
| Red Hill | Red Hill is super-tough and super-technical. Climbing Red Hill has reduced strong MTBers to tears.
| | 2 |
| Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail | A nice easy track to join with others in the area for making longer routes.
| | 2 |
| Marramarra National Park | Wide range of trails from the rather leisurely Collingridge Point out and back to the wild technical descent of Smugglers Track and killer climb from the creek up Marramarra Ridge Trail - this place pretty much has it all.
| | 2 |
| Terrey Hills | Firetrail, not technical but one of the best views at the end of the long trail. Some more challenging climbs to be had on the options south of of Booralie Road.
| | 5 |
| Oxford Falls (Morgan Road) | Also know as Morgan Rd for it's meeting point this area has heaps of trails to join up and make the ride anything you like. Most of these have at least one or two technical sections, many are 80%+ technical!
| | 4 |
| Cascades | Cascades is a good test of your cardio fitness - lots of hills and not much technical stuff means easy riding if you have average to good fitness.
| | 2 |
| Royal National Park | There are many, many trails in the Royal National Park, string together a few to make your ride as long short as you like.
| | 1 |
| Salvation Tracks | Nice out and back firetrail where the only climbs to speak of are short, steep, and some suprisingly technical.
| | 1 |
| Wingello State Forest | Large (1,200+ ha) State forest with the usual firetrails spread across it, but with more hills than (sort of) neighbouring Penrose State Forest make it a bit more fun. Gets rated as just 2 blown lungs because you can take things real easy in here.
| | 1 |
| Warrimoo Track | Tiny little out and back with quiet a steep drop at the end.
