Think of this as The Oaks big brother. Longer, steeper, rougher, tougher climb at the end, harder to get to. Up to the reader to decide if these things make for a better ride.

Brilliant and technical XC course built by the kind folk at WMBC - one of the finest around Sydney. Looks to be plenty of firetrail in the area too, but with sniggle this good, why would you waste your time there?

An easy firetrail that would make an ideal introduction to MTB for beginners. A quiet ride and great views over Pittwater are your reward.

Some out & back and some loops make a nice addition to a lap of Manly Dam.

Massive national park a good 5 hours drive North of Sydney. Large plateau peaking over 1500m altitude (high enough for snow in winter) and dropping away sharply in all directions is criss-crossed with fire trail through beautiful native forest.

Great example of what an MTB Park should be like, for money atleast. Collection of freeride / jump, downhill, technical and easy xc trails.

Bring plenty of water and a few snacks, remember hills are you friends because without climbing them you would not be going downhill.

Be prepared for a hill fest this out and back trail has plenty to offer even if it is only firetrail. Give it a try and see for yourself.

Very easy fire trail along the ridge top with a couple of fast downhill sections if you're up to it, this is perfect for the absolute beginner.

A strange mish-mash of single track and fire trail leads to amazing views South over the water and to West Head.
