Trying To Choose a Scott Mountain Bike

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi everyone,

Could you please help me as to what "Scott Sports" Mountain Bike to get. Following are the criteria I am trying to meet:

PRICE (AUD) (RRP): $2500-$4500
SUSPENSION: Back and front, fully adjustable with the handle-bar adjusters

I will be riding on a mixed terrain, however I think about 60% of the time I will be riding on trails, and the rest on more rough stuff (rocks, jumps, logs, etc.).

If you can give me any advice it would be very much appreciated!!!

Thanks for your time!!!

Scott Reflex 15 2007 (Medium) SORRY, ITS SOLD

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I have recently upgraded to the new Genius and have my Scott Reflex 15 full suspension bike on the market. The bike is in good condition, just 1 year old (purchased in Jan 2008) and has a brand new complete rear end on it thanks to Scott. The rear shock has just been serviced by Scott. The whole bike has just had a service, it has new brake pads, new small and middle rings on the front, a new Maxxis 2.35 Larson on the rear and a not too old Maxxis 2.35 Ignitor on the front, a great combo for sure grip and peddling/rolling.

SOLD! Brand New, 'Large' 2008 Scott 24 Hour Jersey

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

CORC recently had a clear out sale at which I bought a few items. Sadly the 'Large' jersey ordered is more like 'Medium' so is a bit too snug for me.

So anyone enter the event (or want to pretend they did) and want to take if off my hands for 50 bucks?

It's 'Large' (more like medium) white with white on black 'SCOTT' on the sides and 'Ride.24.08' across the chest, 'A decade of dirt' on the back. Red highlights on the sleeves. Large red mud blotch on the back top. Usual sponsors logos everywhere. Oh, surely you've seen them? Eye-wink

Scott 24 hour Race

I am looking to join a three man team for the Scott 24 hour race at Stromlo on the 11th and 12th.

I'm an average mtbr and as part of a 3 man team came 9th at the recent Yellomunde 12 hour.

If there is anyone looking for a rider to join their team let me know.

I recently purchased a Specialized stumpjumper comp to replace my Avanti Montari.

Softtail HELP!! Specialized Vs Scott Vs Giant?!?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hey guys,

I'm looking at a cross country, dual suspension for under $2500. Almost half my riding will be ON-ROAD.

I will be using it for moderate/difficult fire trails and UP/DOWN bush tracks (no huge drops, no extreme downhill). My main concerns are LIGHTWEIGHT (14kg max) and at least front SUSPENSION LOCK.

Currently considering (all around $2000):
1/ Scott Aspect FX 15 (front & back lock suspension, 13.9kg)
2/ Specialised FSR-XC Comp (highly reccomended by a friend).
3/ Giant Anthem 2 <--- The talk of the town (fantastic front fork, excellent value, propedal)
