Out and back with a couple of surprisingly steep pinches.

Bit rough and steep at the North end but aside from that pretty standard fire trail.

Long Track

Don't let the profile worry you - note the altitude range is only about 30m.

So this is a pretty flat out and back with a nice view at the end:

End of Long Track

Beginners may find one or two steep parts (one out, one back) tricky here, but they are short enough so should be right aside from that. Few sections of waterbars to take care/have fun on (depending on your point of view) Eye-wink

Horrible out and... erm... just look at the climb back!

Straight forward fire trail from Cullamine Road to Nerang Avenue.

This is around 7Km long and has markers all along it's length. Km zero on the track as you ride being Km zero on this profile (ie. the West end by Cullamine Road).

There is a small parking area at the West end (Km zero) of this trail and it's perfect for beginners from either end.

Rough Route to Blue Gum

From behind the schools outdoor squash court this trail runs down a steep and rocky hill to meet up with Blue Gum Swamp Trail.

Shaws Ridge

Although Google says this is Blue Gum Swamp Trail signs at this location name it Shaws Ridge. That makes a lot more sense as it runs along the ridge.

Pretty much your average firetrail - the climb/descent at the North end is pretty steep though.

Springwood Ridge

Runs along the top of Springwood Ridge. Standard undulating fire trail with a really rather nice view on the end known as Grose Mountain Lookout:

This is a steep firetrail hill. It certainly wasn't smooth when we visited (July '08) and had some large, loose rocks at that time.
