Sydney Spring Fat Tyre Festival - 8 1/4 hrs of Power

When:
Sunday, 25 November, 2007 - 08:00
Ride Database Entry:
North Turramurra
Meeting Point:

Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here).

Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where a there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB sign here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up). Park up nose to curb or as directed.

If you'd been at the Sydney 24hr in the last couple of years you may have seen a rather disreputable looking party in one corner of the camp site known affectionately as the 12 Hours of Power. I'd post photos but they probably need to go in the Over 18 section.

These very same people have put together this:

Cascades

Douglas Street, St Ives, NSW

I'm going to be a bit lazy this weekend and skip the long drive out to Lithgow on Saturday. So anyone else feeling the same might like to join me closer to home Sunday morning.

I'm thinking one of the following rides: Dural (xc course), Cascades (St Ives), Ingleside (kind of downhill...anyone want to do shuttles?...that would be awesome), Manly Dam, or Ourimbah xc. Sorry to be vague re location at this stage but the reason being is that I'm open to opinion. I will be doing one of them - I'll put up a final post by late Friday.

Oxford Falls XC ride

When:
Saturday, 1 September, 2007 - 13:30
Ride Database Entry:
Oxford Falls (Morgan Road)

Sorry for the late start you guys, but this was the only time available for me on Saturday.

I wanted to do an intermediate level ride at Oxford Falls. We will do the standard trails which may include (but no guarantees!) - nursery rhymes, moon rock, main loop, road to nowhere/somewhere, etc.

Park at the Morgan Rd dirt carpark. Don't hesitate to call me if you're running late. I hope to see you all there.

Thanks,
Liam.

I know the boys who had a day last week on the big bikes would like to go back to oxford falls downhill. I thought it would be good to organise a ride for the people who fancied a cross country blast around the, well? Cross country course! Then meet up with the guys on the other ride(and by guys I mean men and women) for some photo ops and a bit of a laugh down the downhill course. I'll even lend my bike to anyone who wants a blast!

Manly Night Ride

When:
Tuesday, 17 July, 2007 - 19:45
Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam

Another bit of a social hit out, somewhere different for a change.

No Pub at the end so don't forget to BYO, maybe the rock along the golf course sniggle would be a good spot.

At the moment no plans to do Bantry Bay but we can decide on the night depending on who is there.

Caro I could lend you some lights if you want to borrow the rush again and show us all how to get down the B line.

Yes that is quarter to eight at night, 7.45pm, 19.45, 4hr 15mins before Wednesday for all those so inclined.

Great pallet berm on the way home... just a few minutes from the finish here. We rode this in the opposite direction earlier in the day.

Miles of sniggle and fire trail though lush native forest - what more could you ask for?
