Cox's Alternate Junction

Three distinct routes from the Mt York peninsular to Hartley Valley below - two single track and a third fire trail make for a few combinations with one thing in common - the 250 vertical metre drop. This is steep, and on occasion, very tricky stuff.

Weekdays, Oxford falls DH

I've yet to experience oxford falls for myself,, but i'm keen to...
Only problem is I work most weekends so It would be hard for me to meet up with you guys on your satuday and sunday rides...

Is anyone out there keen to ride Oxford DH on weekdays,
It would be great to hook up some shuttle action too.

Cheers..

Ourimbah - XC/DH

When:
Sunday, 18 November, 2007 - 10:00
Ride Database Entry:
Ourimbah State Forest

Meetup at Ourimbah, a bit of XC loop action via the Rollercoaster, Graveyard and main loop, bit of an explore of some unfamiliar sections, then some DH runs. Can't shuttle more than 2 or 3 bikes and people in my car unfortunately so if we have more than that then we will have to have a ute or bike rack...

My DH runs are just going to be practise, nothing hardcore, still working on my descents!

DH forks, marzocchi 66 vs Fox 40's

Hi,

I'm riding a giant glory0 (the free-ride model). It currently has a pair of Marzocchi 66SL 1 ATA Air, 140-180mm. And i'm thinking of putting on some Fox 40's... Cause I reckon I would be better of with some fat double crown forks to lift the front end a bit higher...

Does anyone have any advice on this idea? Do you think its worthwhile? Are dual crown forks that much better than single??

Cheers,
Nik

New and keen for DH

Hey,

I've just recently signed up to this site.

I live on the south side of sydney and am keen to make the trip north to check out the oxford falls DH.
So do you guys hook up on weekends and run shuttles? cause that would be sweet to get involved in, I'm getting kinda sick of pushing my bike back to the top of some local runs around my area...

So i guess its best to just keep an eye on upcomming rides yeah?

Cheers
