The first of these will be this coming Saturday (19th August) and will focus on a section of trail between the 19th hole and the playground at the corner of Churchill Crescent and Cootamundra Drive.

Trailcare has identified several sections of the trial that need significant attention and these will be the target of furture volunteer days

St Ives - action needed by 27 Feb

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi all

Kuringai Councils draft plan of management is considering mountain biking given St Ives sniggle cuts through it and they have land at HART.

The sniggle is basically as busy as Manly Dam and we need to ensure that riding is recognised.

There are at least 9000 mountain bikers in this part of Sydney, please make sure Council know they need to be part of the solution by providing trail and linkages to other land managers as part of the whole of government strategy published by NPWS in 2011.

Jubes MTB Park bikecare group

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I noticed a call for people to join a bikecare group on the Kuringai council website when I was looking around for a way to become involved in maintaining Jubes mountain bike park. I live up the road and it has become a bit of an eyesore and seems very much unloved with lots of weeds, dead turf and badly eroded pump track. So I sent an email to the address they provided and put my hand up.

Manly Dam volunteer day - 1st Dec

Final one before the xmas slowdown!

We had a few false starts however the Manly Dam rangers have arranged to have some crushed sandstone delivered to the top of the 19th hole lead in. We’re also hoping to get some sandstone flagging delivered this week as well to help armour these badly eroded sections

Plan is to get started around 8am and knock around lunch.... please let me know if you’re up for it?

Meeting point is the end of Roosevelt Ave near the Tennis courts..
