EPIC
Now that has to be one of my most fun days out on a bike, With all of the talk of hills and rain/weather leading up to the race I really had no idea what to expect.
In the end I stopped worrying about what the conditions were going to be like and just decided to ride my bike in its current setup. Single speed and geax saguaro on the front and Racing Ralph out the back.
Oxford Falls Pallet
Hi - does anybody know what happened to the pallet jump on the road track - one of my mates rode last week and said it was missing?

Where to Mountain bike in North Italy
I am heading to the north of Italy in september and really looking forward to some riding while I am there.
Has anyone been there and can recommend where is best to go.
I see they have some great mountain bike parks and trails but would love to know which come highly recommended.
Prali, Turin region, Livigno, Trentino ( I hear the mountain bike hotspot for europe). actualluy they all claim that.
Loking for some great downhill runs, chair lift ( would be nice) and some great xc single trails.
Would also be looking at bike hire options too.
Finally beat the 40 min mark, just.
39.55 just.
Next the step-ups so I can get round with no stopping.
Blew my brakes out yesterday with oil and found out how little you need the brakes. Then my fastest latp yet.

What a cracker
Great race this one, loads of new single track (well new to me) and a good pace for all three laps. A big stack at the front just leaving the start bunched up the race and then another cash about 20 meters after that. It was all pretty hectic up there.
Nice and warm at about 32 degrees, but I felt pretty good considering my absence of training. I managed to hang on to Fabio's wheel to the finsih line, though he is nursing an injury. Plenty of time to learn some single track handling skills from him though, I think I have a new trick to test at the next race.
