Seat post

Probably a stupid question but I wanted to check prior to placing on online order with CRC. I have an old 27.2mm seatpost that just misses being clamped down on, the old post was 28mm and I thought it would work Puzzled If I order a shim that says 27.2-28mm would this work or would the tube just slide down inside the shim?

Finally a sub-30 time :-)

Had targeted to do a sub-30 lap by the end of January and thought that given the dry dam conditions it was the perfect opportunity. Garmin details

Stationary bike power

Because of injury i've been training on a stationary bike at the gym. Just wondering if there is any guide for power or if its pretty irrelevant?

Due to my supreme lack of fitness i can hold around about 125 watts for about 10minutes at rpm of 90-95.

Training Partners?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Someone (from this forum!) who shall remain nameless has charmed me into joining his Mont 24 mixed sixes team, so now I've got to get all serious and do some training. Well, actually I was looking for an excuse to keep in shape and having him to blame is wonderfully convenient. Eye-wink

CCOMTB rd1

First club day and it was a lot of fun. Followed Logan on the first lap and had no rhythm so decided to slow down for a while. Started to get smother on the second lap and really enjoyed the third. Its amazing how much easier things are when your in a good rhythm with the track, even the hills are simpler and you go faster with less effort. Well thats how it felt for a while until Hatton & co came past and reminded me I was 10+ minutes a lap off the pace.

Will try and make as many of the CCOTMB club days as I can.

Withdrawn: Kona Road Bike

Note that this is "Withdrawn" so is here for archive purposes only.

I am looking to sell my roadie as I've upgraded.

It's a 2009 Kona Zing (Size 56):
* Ultegra/105 drivetrain
* Mavic Aksium Race Wheels
* Aluminium frame, carbon fork

Full spec: http://www.konaworld.com/09/09_zing_en.cfm

Has been very well looked after and is in great nick but for cosmetic paint chips on the drive side chain stay and a rub on one of the cranks.

A great way to expand your riding giving you options when the trails are wet and super for training and fast commuting.

Looking for about $1000.

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 24 Jan

Status:
Green/Open

Yellomundee is looking GREAT for Round 2 of the WSMTB Summer 4 Hour Series on 30 Jan (see www.wsmtb.com). Work carried out last Saturday has cleared the track just north of Shaws Farm and around the Trotting Track.

Keep an eye out for joe blakes - we found half a brown one after running over it with a mower!

As usual - please conserve the tracks at Yellomundee by not riding there soon after any heavy rain.
