Mike Baird's speech regarding NPWS MTB Discussion Paper
In case you didn't catch it, local State MP Mike Baird spoke in parliament last Friday in response to the current NPWS Mountain Bike discussion paper. In this he mentions making a positive submission to the department which echoes the sentiment of the speech.
Credit where it's due - Mike's support has been key to moving this issue along so I'd like to publicly thank him for that.

Cascades update for 25 Oct
Before the rain it was very sandy and scetchy. The rain has hardened the sand, but there are some exposed clay bits that are carving up. Its quite nice and quick to ride however wont take much to turn into a clay mud bath in some sections. Watch out for the python.

New to Sydney - Live close to Manly Dam
Hi,
I am new to Sydney and living close to Manly Dam. Looking for people to hit up the trails at Manly Dam a few times a week to get my fitness back up. Don't currently have a car so that is why I am thinking Manly Dam as it is riding distance for me. Would love to meet some of you local riders for a blat on the bike. If the weather is good I hope to head out a few times during the week as I am not working this week.

This is the 2nd time I have seen this one in the same spot. Loves sitting on the side of the track on Davidson side of Cascades crossing. Took the photo with Blackberry

Very funny, if a slightly bad example to the kids 
Gee is working on a drop that he say's is a "Steep ass canyon... with a vertical landing") that on the video looks like riding off a cliff (which it is of course!).
He's being too subtle, Darren Roberts (Red Bull Performance Manager), described it thus: "This is f&cked, this is totally f&cked. It actually goes through a hole in the space time continuum down there... into, like, an alternate universe of f&cked up-ness where the laws of physics don't apply".

He'd been to watch 'The Scott Trial'. Without doubt the hardest one day motorbike trial on the planet which is held every year in my local area of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales.
