Cheap Helmet Light
CREE Q5 LED 300 LM 7W Headlamp available on eBay for $16 delivered.
Was able to modify to fit on helmet by removing the strap and attaching with velcro. Makes a great zoom-able spot light. Uses 3 AAA batteries in a separate battery pack. Runs for more than 2 hours on high using rechargeable NiMH batteries.
New see saw
Leaving Menai early morning yesterday there was a man "Mick" and his dog building a new see saw. Should be loads of fun, just hoping the trail bikes don't F it up!

19th Hole Crash
This is John, being attended to by paramedics.
The last drop from the rock onto the clay pan has been eroded by water flow and trail use during wet weather when the Council should have closed the trail. There is now a lip formed just after where your wheel lands that can easily catch the beginner or unwary rider. This has been brought to Council's attention as requiring urgent attention both by Rob and myself, yet nothing has been done.
Accident at Manly Dam.
I saw a guy getting stretchered out from the dam today. He was lying there with about ten other people and looked to be in a fair bit of pain. My guess is a shoulder dislocate or broken arm as i didn't see any head blood.
Anyone got info on who it was and his condition?

Warning | Snake season has started early
Just a warning, almost ran over 1.5m Red Belly sunning itself in the Wildflower Garden yesterday. Looks like we're not the only ones enjoying the nice weather this weekend.
I thought we had at least another month or so before dodging any snakes. Looks like my compression bandage is going back into the camelback.

Still a few puddles on some sections of firetrail. The singletrack is pretty much totally dry.
