2nd time around with cleats and no top gears
Ok so this was my 2nd try at Manly Dam with Cleats as I have only recently converted to clip in the first time wasn't so successful a couple of stacks and quite a slow time 44 mins, however this time was much better and felt quite good although a little chilly and had not warmed up properly also my gears were playing up and I could not get into top gear at all for the flats etc to get my speed up and time down. Conditions were good and quite happy I know the time will come down even more next time around.
Manly Dam Ranger
I attended a meeting with conservationists this week in Hornsby Shire. Conservationists expressed their feelings and mtbers provided some answers. It was nothing amazing but it was some good honest communication. However, some rangers from Manly Dam came along and appeared to be trying to derail the process. I don't understand why. Wouldnt they welcome another shire building a facility to help release the growing pressure on Manly Dam????? Maybe they want Manly Dam numbers to keep growing and growing??
YouTube - Manly Dam blooper tape
Saw this on Youtube - is it from a NOBMOBer? - The OTB going towards the planter boxes is the stuff of nightmares!
The Moulton and Rhino
Hello all,
Well it was a hellova ride on those small wheels........! Thanks for the into Craig. A little background. I have ridden Moultons for around 12 years and have owned two APBs, one FSR and also hold a Stainless 17 inch SPEED S road bike. On road they are great. I brought the SPEED S and the FSR custom over from the UK about two years ago. All very different animals. The SPEED S is like riding a great Swiss wristwatch, whilst the FSR is a little more robust and crude. Both bikes have full suspension with hydrostatic on the rear of the SPEED S.
slowly getting faster
need to work on cornering and leg strength but happy, next timed lap will be a 35!
Cracked Mission
Hi All
Does anyone else on NobMob ride a Diamondback Mission???
I have a 2007 Mission which is such a well balanced and stable ride. Sadly it developed a crack in the downtube where the knucklebox pivot is attached to the frame. What is most disapointing is it happened riding a service trail (Charlottes Pass to Rawsons Pass) with my 7 year old. I did not even get to ride it at Thredbo and had to rent a Kona.
