Jenolan / Yeranderrie

Have been discussing with a few cycling friends (ie not hard core mtb enduro freaks) riding from Jenolan to Yeranderrie. Has anybody done this? Google via the road says it is about 140 km, but there are obviously shorter (but more up / down) routes, not all of which can be traversed by 4WD beforehand to prove concept.

Any tips / hints / informed suggestions?

I am not sure if the trails will be dry enough. Has anyone been there lately?

Would like to do the same loop as last week but starting on the other side. Start through the small NS stuff, go until the top of the downhill and back.

I am sure that if by myself i will get lost and will use the GPS to come back though Smiling

De Luca gets slammed over defending why mountain bikers should not have to pay

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

We might be getting dragged into a fight we might not want to be part of here, but if you have strong views I'd encourage you to have your say.

De Luca's line has been: since we're only recovering a nominal rent from Sea Eagles, and are in effect subsidising a commercial operation to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, where do we get off proposing to charge mountain bikers to access parkland or surf lifesaving volunteers for using clubhouses?

Seems to me it's a fair line of reasoning.

Cascades

Amber/Some Issues

A few puddles and some sandy bits but all firetrail and rideable.

My 1st MTB race

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

not knowing what to expect on the day I arrived a bit early, found out the difference between the top and bottom car park(about a 500m hill climb Smiling ) After rego and a bit of a wait it was game on. Not to bad a start but i suffered on the climbs, that really showed me where i need to work, could pull away from riders on a d/h section and hold my own on the flat but got smashed on the ups. Have realised a free beer(wedding) isn't ideal preperation and have just found out i have another free beer (50th) before rd3. glad i started this racing caper and looking foward to the rest of the year.

Roadies: please check out council's 2010 Bike Plan and send comments (good, bad or otherwise), through to council management by 31 March:

The previous version was shelved 12 years ago, so it's not like this opportunity comes around very often. Spread the word, thanks.
