Sparrow Hill cruise

Coming from Sydney, drive into Queenbeyan, turn left at the roundabout where Red Rooster is and stay on this road for about 11km. Park on the side of the road where the gate is. For better directions try this link CORC: Events: Race Venues.
Have to be in Canberra tomorrow morning and going to have a cruise around Sparrow Hill in the arvo, be great if someone joins in.
New delicious mtb
Folks, here is my new steed. I parted with my much loved 07 Reign and 05 Fuel to purchase an 09 Stumpy in this very fetching satin red. I've only used the frame and front mech and the rest is a mish mash of stuff I've been using on the recently sold bikes.
I must say that I love it. The ride of this bike is tops. I'm a real company man now!

St Ives Patterson's Patisserie - 237 Mona Vale Rd St Ives there is a car park over the road where you can easily leave your car for the weekend.
Sydney based riders who are riding The Highland Fling, here’s an opportunity. If you don't want to be driving off the road on the way home here's the trip for you!
The trip will leave on Saturday from three different locations and come back Sunday night. Trip departure times are somewhat subject to change depending on where people need to be collected. Please use these times as a guide at this point in time.

Ahhh... here comes spring 
How nice it was to be out in the sun yesterday.
Originally a 'secret' ride to meet some potential Scott team mates and check out the current state of Manly Dam this was meant to be an hour or two there. Trying not to focus on the state of the track. There have been some silly, silly changes there but will let the rangers know and let's see if they can sort them out.
But back to a top day in the sun...
What an excellent day
This is what it all about, excellent riding conditions, fantastic track and meet some really nice guys on the way. (except for the nutter who thought riding up the single track on a sunny sunday was good form. Near hit all 4 of us)
It was too nice to push too hard the view back to the city was perfect, you could see the lights blinking on the bridge and center point.

3 Ring Circus 2009

4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Route description
The three loops pass through the Big Top event centre located at the Wingello Forest Trailhead. The loops will be completed in the order below:
Granny Gear
Blue Ring
6km of fast firetrail will separate the speedsters from the rose sniffers and allows riders to find their legs. There won’t be a lot of granny gear on the Granny Gear loop.
Big Dog
Red Ring
Ok not the fastest - know where we can improve
We are not your youngest riders by any means , 46,47 & 56 but we still manage to mix it respectably with others out there.
