Old School Bikes
All this rainy weather talk of hard tails and single speeds lead me to look up the BMX bike I bought back in 1980 (I think) and still have, it’s a Moosegoose over sized frame BMX bike with 20" tyres. (Hmmmmm Chromemoly frames)

I wonder how it would go with a set of suspension forks?
Probably worth more as an antique (Christine would know)
It still looks nice hanging with the rest of the stable of bikes, DRY unused bikes !!!! I need sunshine Bad.

Lake Parramatta ride tomorrow
Rain or no rain, i want to go riding tomorrow. Anyone interested in riding at lake parra tomorrow?
Saturday arvo ride - IF DRY!
well seems all rides have to be put in the tentative forum for the near future.
Tien, Lozza and I will probably try and do Duck/Centre tomorrow afternoon if the weather is favourable. Most likely after 3pm as I have Army drill practice in the morning....fun fun.
If interested and if it's not raining tomorrow give me a call. Number is in my profile.

Raleigh Winner
In my teens I was riding a Raleigh Winner. I'm still pretty much the same size (it was 21" from what I remember) so that frame would be ideal. It's probably still in the old man's garage. I wonder if he takes it apart how much the frame would weigh and home much sending it over would cost?
There's a load of reminiscing (or is that pi$$ taking) about that bike here: http://www.cyclingforums.com/showthread.php?t=54241
Ahhh... those were the days
Cabin Fever
With Andrew's moment of clarity today, he has described for me what I have been feeling for ages. Cabin fever has truly set in.
After having a really tough time of it at work the last few weeks, there really has been no time to do any weekday night riding. And with all the other things on over the last couple of weeks, the weekends have at best only contained one ride. Last weekend there was none!!
Recovery is a biatch 2
Update 7th Feb 2008
So this afternoon I went out to see the surgeon CT scans and x-rays in hand feeling a little nervous. Its been a long time off the bike and the last thing I wanted was news of another operation and three to six more months off the bike.
My progress has been ok, I now have most rotation back and I can totally straighten and bend my arm....as I walked in I thought to myself "be positive! there is nothing to be nervous about, your recovering well damn it!"
