Splinter Extraction MkII

Remember this? Almost three months ago I had to extract a huge splinter from the shin after being impaled at Kincumber (see thumbnail below). Well, since then I've been increasingly convinced there was more in there. Had a poke around in the flesh on my leg this evening and pulled out a smaller, but still not insignificant splinter seen here. Cool! Eye-wink

Pump Found at Manly Dam today (10/10/07)

Hey all,

New to Australia and new to MTBing, made my way to Manly Dam, nearly died from exhaustion and am now safely at home studying on how to improve.

On route, (Very close to the Highway section) i found a RavX Master X Mini pump. I was only passed by one guy and i would guess it was his as it was pretty obvious.

Anyway, it's a long shot but if you're reading this, then give us a shout!

Cheers

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam

On Saturday morning I'll be taking a novice mate round the Dam. He's been there before, but because this isn't likely to be very speedy and he's pretty new at this I'm throwing it out there for others to join.

If you've been lurking here wanting to say hello but have been a bit put off by all the high speed, long distance action then be put off no more - this is for you! Laughing out loud

Bragging

The WSMTB club championship race was on the weekend and one of NoBMoBs youngest- Mitchell the pocket rocket Evans showed the field the way, the lead changed several times in a very close race, and Mitchell had to dig deep to take the win by about 30 metres, he also took the U13's championship series with 1180 points. KML Feed Enabled

KML Demo

We're happy to announce that more integration with Google Earth/Maps is now complete on the site. The NoBMoB KML feed is now live (image shows it loaded in Google Earth). This is simply a way to show all the geocoded content on the site, which at the time of writing is limited to trail reviews (stars) and photos (camera icons).

Don't get this confused with the NoBMoB KMZ which has trails marked and only certain pictures shown.

When limiting this feed to certain categories it's also useful for pinpointing other stuff (like ride locations) in Google Maps. This is used to good effect on the rides overview page which now shows locations on a map.

Enjoy Smiling
