Left Electric Fence

The Waratah Park (Home of Skippy) has been conveniently built right across where Booralie Trail is marked on the map and surrounded by an electric fence.

When heading from the North there's a fork in that trail and this point is on the left branch. There's an old gate as you can see (not part of the electric fence) which you can bypass to the left just before. Then head left along the fence to the park entrance on Namba Road.

Electric Greg

The Waratah Park (Home of Skippy) has been conveniently built right across where Booralie Trail is marked on the map and surrounded by an electric fence.

When heading from the North there's a fork in that trail and this point is on the right branch. You could probably cycle down here (past Greg) around the perimeter and pick it up again. You can't turn left (which is behind as this is taken) because of a steep rock wall.

Booralie Fork

Coming down Booralie Trail from the north there is a fork near the top of this climb (which is after the creek crossing in this direction).

Both ways lead to the Waratah Park's electric fence, but left is the best option (I know of) as it leads here and eventually to the park's entrance. Through that old gate just visible is the right fork which leads here.

Booralie Creek Crossing

You'd think this would have to be the lowest point on the Booralie trail, eh?

As this shot is taken, the junction with Cullamine & Duffys is behind which form a very tough climb.

Slades Lookout

Such that it is, you really can't see much here through the trees.

Duffys Junction

As the sign says, Slades Lookout is to the left.

When we tried to go right there were fallen trees a-plenty blocking much of the track. It's also very steep and covered in pine needles and other debris, and seems to follow a water course. All this adds up to very slippery stuff.

Buddhist Water

Well - the signs say it all... there's a Buddhist Hermitage here, and these guys kindly have a water tank out front. We gladly made use of this on the return trip.
