Wildflower Garden update for 15 Dec

Status:
Green/Open

The sniggle from the Wildflower Garden nursery through to Muppet Show is all good. A tad loose in places, but I'll take dry and loose over wet and muddy any day.

Cascades update for 15 Dec

Area:
Cascades
Status:
Green/Open

Mostly pretty dry and loose, though the main track in from Acron Oval is fine and there are reasonable riding lines on the Ralston Ave and Quarry Track climbs and on Lower Cambourne. A couple of the water bars are getting a bit sketchy to climb up and there are a few sand patches to negotiate.

Red Hill update for 13 Dec

Area:
Red Hill
Status:
Green/Open

Just about as dry as Red Hill is likely to get which also means that it is quite sandy in places. Watch out in some of the corners. All good otherwise.

Terrey Hills update for 13 Dec

Status:
Green/Open

Rode Perimeter / Long / Cowan from Echunga Rd today. A few sandy areas and one big puddle on Long and the hill is a mess. A couple of trees down on Cowan, but all can be ridden around.

Why a bike is better than a woman

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

So recently, I engaged in a discussion with a friend that indicated that he would have to spend some time with his girlfriend in the coming days as I needed to get out on my bike after a long study period. This resulted in the conversation inevitably turned to "You should get a girlfriend, mate." Seeing as a good portion of other 20yos are with girls, it was worth a good session to consider whether I should give up cycling and find one, but I discovered 28 reasons why this shouldn't be the case. Enjoy (and don't take it too seriously)!

Ok, so who now has a branch thru their leg?

So.... A Wednesday cascades night ride ended badly for someone that one of you knows out there... They ended up in the ED with a stick 2 inches into their leg! As you do... Anyone care to shed any more light on the situation, or know how mr sticky is recovering?
Otherwise I hope everyone's injuries will be healed in time for Xmas (there seems to be a few going around of late).
And before @hawkeye says it... We will need photos... Smiling
