First time Fling
Cold, wet and muddy but still a great introduction for me into (half) marathon racing.
I'm happy with my result and even though earlier I was saying "never again", I'll be back next year to better my time. Hopefully next time without the cramps in the final climb.
Edit: Not sure if I have my position correct. In the list of everyone in my class, I'm 29th, but when I click on my name, it says I'm 43rd. Below that, it says 'time in'. I presume this is overall positioning?

Tubeless wheelset which one.....
All - I am looking at tubeless wheelsets
I have 27.5 wheels and am looking at mid range generally a rim and hub that can handle Red Hill on a regular basis.
Advice is sought on weight advantages and make of rim and hub combinations if possible. My budget would be $500- $700

Menai / Lucas Heights - Its getting close to opening again!!
Just a note to say that Menai is very close to becoming open again!!! There was a ride day yesterday for the volunteers who have been doing the trail building (upto around 9kms at the moment) of nearly all new trails.
There is more information available on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Menai-MTB-Park-pr... and for anyone who has ridden there previously, its looking good. It has similar feel to how it was originally but with better trail construction.

Most of the main fire trail has the usual large puddles.
Its not a complete mess so Amber is probably best description.

Shimano wide shoe stockist?
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new set of shoes and would like to get some Shimano SH-M088E to try on.
I've been to Cell bikes but they only stock the normal narrow fit.
Does anybody know a shop in Sydney that stocks a good range of the Shimano shoes in Wide?
Alternatively can anyone suggest a similarly priced/quality shoe in a wider fit of any brand?
