hi does anyone know if the menai downhill track is still rideable and how i may find it? or point me in the direction of any good places down south as i just moved here and am keen to find some good dh.
Edge 500 and temperature
Been riding a bit lately in Canberra and noticed my garmin only records temperature in whole degrees. Also it doesn't seem to measure values below zero. Is this something anyone else has experienced?
Oxford falls firetrail ok?
I was thinking of taking a novice mate on for a firetrail ride on the weekend.
Anyone know if the Oxford falls firetrail is ok after the last few days of drying out weather?
He should handle ok if it's a bit damp, but axle deep puddles would be another story.

Stromlo Baby - The forecast said a wet weekend, but the Trail Gods made good!
This is a compilation of my 1st and 2nd runs on Skyline, Luge, Western Wedgetail, Pork Barrel and Double Dissolution. I'd ridden Western Wedgetail, Skyline and Luge once before but it was just a cruise down behind the boy. This weekend I was out on my own at full pace.
Pork Barrel was amazing! And Double Dissolution was a heap of fun, popping off all the jumps.
Loved it !! My new favourite place to ride.
North Turramurra update for 03 Jul
Checked out how Jubes is going, and it hopefully should be done in a couple of weeks. The flow track is well packed in and currently the edges are being groomed by the contractor to avoid erosion. The skills section is open, but the flow track and pump track are both closed, but should be open soon, and it'll be a darn good track once the maintenance is completed.
Don't know what the rest of N Turramurra is like at present; but I reckon once Jubes is open again, it deserves its own trail page!

dry tracks
All - looking for tips on were to ride this weekend. I was thinking something on the Northern beaches maybe west of Wakehurst Parkway?? not to familiar with the tracks & how quickly they drain after heavy rain.
I have ridden long trail at Terrey Hills, something different is preferable

Wanted: Anyone have an old cycling computer?
My computer on my new mountain bike is goofed ATM. Having a GPS phone I can get GPXs for my rides but obviously cannot see the current speed and distance (which I thrive on in a race). In a Garmin age which everone seems to have (I have no want or need for one with my current budget), I thought I‘d see if any NoBMoBbers were willing to give/sell me their old mechanisms that are now probably sitting around gathering dust instead of kms, as I am still surprised at the high cost of ones in stores.
$20 is just a guide feel “free“ to put it at more or less.

Cycling Express
Just over three weeks ago I placed a parts order with Cycling Express - I'm still waiting for the parts. When I chased up the order I was told some of the items were out of stock, although there was no indication of this when I placed the order. My last email asking for an update went unanswered.
I chose to use Cycling Express over Chain Reaction, and was even willing to pay a bit more to support an Aussie company. But in my experience the service from Chain Reaction is so much better and faster. My last order with Cycling Express took about 6 weeks to ship from memory.
