Red Hill to Oxford Falls to Red Hill
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Wilandra Rd, Narraweena. At the Bush Fire Brigade.
New to NobMob. Live in Narraweena. Me and a mate will be doing this ride if anyone is interested. Not trail smokers but we do it at a leisurely but active pace. Just interested in seeing if anyone's keen, interested in meeting local lads with local knowledge.

Had a bit of a spending spree
A few weeks ago I bought a new wheelset, nothing outrageous, just a decent set of XT 29ers. Of course, I weighed them against my old wheels before I fitted them and found that I'd saved about 300g. This then lead me to remember I still hadn't done anything about my knackered BB and maybe if I replaced that, I could save a few more grams. I searched around and decided that the best thing to do was buy a whole new crankset, again, nothing outrageous, but an upgrade all the same. A few days later, it arrived with a sticker saying "HGX chain only".
New chain. What do you do?
So, I've just fitted a whole new drive chain (cassette, chain, crankset) and naturally, I want to keep it new for as long as possible. My question is, what does everyone do with a new chain? Keep the sticky factory grease and add your own lube, degrease it and re-oil with your own stuff or you have some other tip?

Has anyone used a Bionicon C.Guide V.02 Chain Guide
Has anyone used a Bionicon C.Guide V.02 Chain Guide http://bionicon.com/parts/c-guide/c-guide-v02.html#main? The reviews seem to be VERY polarizing, and that says to me that they may not be genuine (insiders or competitors).![]()
Extra toll charge for carrying a bike on car
Has anybody else out there ever been charged a heavy vehicle rate on the M5 (or other motorway) for carrying a bike?
Magicshine/ cheap lights long term review?
So I saw everyone was buying the Magicshine lights a while ago.
Even though I've had my Aye ups upgraded, I'm not really happy with them when I'm training on the road.
I have some powerfull homemade lights that I use for Mtb events but I'm looking for a cheap light I can put on and take off the road bike quickly.
Is everyone happy with the Magicshines and are they more powerful than the Aye ups?
Cheers in advance,
Gazza

A very serious crash to the young GT rider TAylor Vernon at the Val de Sol downhill race on the weekend.

Nice to know that he was ok after this crash with nothing broken. Neck brace is a must!
