Red Hill Trail Works
Hi all
Some may have noticed that fire trail work is being undertaken by Soil Conservation Services from Cromer Road. SCS is State Government and under Department of Lands.
We met with them after work on Friday when we had both knocked off and did a walk through.
Their scope is from Cromer Road down to the bitumen road that goes from the turnstile to Drop Zone. The works are currently incomplete and there are around 22 water bars going in to control water.

Kiwarrak State Forest update for 07 Apr
Rode western end of XC circuit, Up River, Son of skull. Nice and tacky on the soil although timber features and leaf litter on track was very greasy after being dampened by light drizzle. Some puddles on low lying fire roads only.Calling it green but this could change overnight
It did change - it was even better! Tacky and fast, except if you had a gumby attack and got on the leaf litter... derp
Had a test ride on the 2013 Scalpel and the new Trigger. Both wicked bikes, but very different to ride. (Funny, that.)
That descent from Up River through to to the end of Son of Skull is just brilliant - never gets old.

Hey all,
I am Heading down to Canberra next weekend with the family and just wondering what would be the best trail down there. Ill have a few hours to ride. i ride things like Manly dam.

Kowen Forest update for 07 Apr
Rode April 4TH, 25k 2012 loop, kind of, lost the plot around new bit called "Tutu"?
Still dry as a D.D.D. Take a map if your not familiar. Nice to be riding in the shade of the forest compared to Stromlo.
Kowalski Sideshow onwards was fantastic in high speed close combat with fellow riders. Big thanks to all trail builders involved in Kowen area...
Sparrow across the old road still well worth a visit if your got the legs for it. Only managed 13k loop.
