Attacked the downhills, ket a good speed on the flats and gave it what I had on the climbs. Really happy to get a 1:04 and I think sub 1 hour is actually achievable for me.

Cascades update for 15 Dec
Cascades is FAST. Nice line has formed and the rain has packed down some of the loose sand. Had a great ride and got a PB of 1:04 for 4 Gates.

Has the Dam smoothed out recently?

I had my first ride in a couple of months today which was also the first ride on my new dually (Superlight 26") frame coming from a hardtail. Even though I am out of form the bike was great and smoothed out a lot of things.

A used Giant Anthem 1 (2008), size L, 100mm front fork travel and 3.5" rear travel, the ideal bike for either XC racing or general trail riding.
It has all-Shimano XT components throughout (gears, brakes, rings). Converted to tubeless on stock non-tubeless Mavic X317 Disc wheels. Mega-light!! 
Kenda Nevegal (f) and Maxxis Crossmark (r) tyres, both relatively new with good tread pattern left. Adjustable seat clamp/collar is added for free. Race Face Evolve XC handlebars and seatpost. Giany carbon slim race saddle.
