Anyone interested in riding Ourimbah this Saturday 24/11/12
Hi All
Im new to the site and looking for few like minded mountain bikers to join on rides.
Ive been keeping to the northern beach mainly since iv been here, but want to explore a few other trails.
Im going to be heading to Ourimbah this Saturday 24/11/12 to check out the trails and was wondering if anyone else is interested in joining me?
Im an experienced rider into xc, dh, trail riding, singletracks, jumping, and everything else you can do on a bike. Fitness level isnt too bad, and I ride up hills where posible. Dont let any of that put you off though.

Well, I came, I saw I, um, finished a lap without stopping!
Anyway, due to a friend posting a very respectable time recently, I have been inspired (again!)
There was a time I could manage 3 laps all under 43min/lap (I won't count the 4th cause it took me 47min )
I'll be back.
Also late 2011 Fat Tyre (but quicker than last posted time)
1st lap here:
3rd lap I had bad stack, split my helmet, broke my glasses and gave myself quite a fright so eased the pace back after that.

Some puddles but nothing major, mostly on the golf course singletrack.
There was a pile of dirt/gravel at the 19th hole section entrance. I'm guessing that is for the trail maintenance day ??
Do you have more information?

Off the bike for too long
I've been off the bike and on the beers and smokes for the last couple of months.
This is a kick up the arse to get back to full fitness.
Goal is to get a 30 min lap done by Christmas.
Which Shimano Rear Derailleur
Hey all,
So i've smashed my fourth rear derailleur in just over a year today. I had a cage fail on a xtr shadow (with a carbon cage) then bought the same one again and caught a branch that ripped the cage to pieces.. Switched to an xt and a crash took that one out and bent another cage on an xt today thats beyond repair. So ive been having a look online and it seems shimano have stopped developing 3x9 (please correct me if im wrong but i cant find anything new in 9 speed)
