an education on selecting handlebar height
hi all,
just wondering if any clued-up geometry-savy rider out there might be able to give me a brief education on selecting correct handle bar height for my riding style or posture? what determines? You see, I have always had my stem atop 2 spacers on my 2008 giant reign. wondering what would happen if i moved the stem down? don't know what the governing theory is though. anybody care to have a stab? cheers, mark
Kentlyn (Minto Heights)
Discovered this awesome hidden gem, a good alternative from Mt Annan which is not far. Check on Trailfix for further details: http://www.trailflix.com.au/tfx_new/trails.php?i...
Thanks to the 3 guys that picked me up on the trail and showed around (if you read it this; re the big crash, on Monday only, signs of a concussion came up… not massive said the doctor – but quite annoying).

For Sale: Cannondale Rush 3 - 2007 (white frame)
Hello,
I am finally selling my dear and well cared for Rush 3 (Size: M)
It has been regularly serviced and is in really good condition. I also have not ridden the bike very much since an injury in 2009 so it actually has not done that many kms.
Price: AUD 1450 ono
I bought it new in July 2007 for 4599,-. The white frame was my choice and not standard for that model at the time. Other than that the bike has all the standard Rush 3 components:
Frame Tubing Material: Aluminum
Fork Brand & Model: Cannondale Lefty Speed Bonded DLR2, 110mm travel

Perimeter and Long trail via the Japanese School (Echuga RD) today was very pleasant - a couple of drying puddles but nothing that can't be easily avoided - Otherwise all good and much fun - great to get out on the MTB again. Let's hope the showers forecast next few days are limited

Seeking Team for Scott 24 2012
Gentlemen,
Unfortunately the team I have been riding with, is unable to compete at this years Scott 24.
I'm looking to join another team.
The team I'd like to join will be focused, comitted & loyal to each member.
the team will preferably be in the 40+ but I'm open to realisatic suggestions.
I'm not in the elite catergory.
I'm not there to be part of a social team. Sure I'm socialble type but my focus is on riding to my best ability. Supporting other team members as best I can so they can achieve thier best as well.
Lane Cove National Park update for 17 Jul
I rode from Pennant Hills Park to De Burgh's Bridge today. A few wet patches, but mostly dry - better than I thought it would be.

Manly Dam update for 17 Jul
I just did a spin around Manly Dam and was surprised at how much it has dried out.
Really, for anyone who knows the track I would call it "green" - it will certainly be green if this current drought continues and dries up the mud field which was the quagmire.
But for newbies and those less familiar with the track I think there are still a few issues with seepage in a some places and lots of loose/eroded stones, so I'll keep the traffic light on "amber".

Also FWIW somebody (on Saturday) has dumbed down Hawkeye's Bugbear in a way which forces you to use a more exact line - personally I think this could be less safe than before.
