Much loved bike needs a new home. Have had Since Sept 2009 and has been barely ridden the last 6 months due to study commitments. Drive train was replaced on a couple months prior to that.
Solid bike. Great all rounder.
Open to swap for a downhill bike!!!
Full price they were over $3400. Bike is in Coogee but ride Northside regularly so can come and meet at a trail somewhere if that works.
Current tyres have little life left so am giving my spares that have around 75% left on them.
Odd wear and tear marks. Some scratches on forks but no issues with seals etc.

I didn't do the last techy section and the single track has a few muddy spots and the fire trail is fine. I'd call it green.

All good here. There's a little bit of water on the trails but nothing to worry about. You can cross the creeks and keep your feet mostly dry.

Manly Dam update for 26 Feb
Noticeably drier than yesterday. I managed to get around 8 minutes faster per lap.
Only a few (the usual) seep areas and mud holes left.
Still a big quagmire before Monserra, and still some unavoidable water, so I'm keeping it amber

Soft tissue swelling (sit bone area)
Has anyone ever had the issue of the soft tissue around the sit bone area becoming really swollen?
I did a 7 hour mountain bike ride today and its swollen to the size of about 1/2 an egg. I only ever get issues with my left side? Occasionally I think I might get an ingrown hair or something because I can get like a tiny pimple that it extremely painful. Maybe the two are related because again, its only ever my left side.

The track is still very wet, yet rideable. Keep away from the graveyard - Definately closed. Otherwise stick to the high side.

Experimental: Great North Road Early Sunday morning ride.
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
Hi,
keen to do something different. I have never been on the GNR before, but have a GPS file/ description which indicates that a great loop ride of somewhat just over 40km can be had in the area. Other accounts indicated that it drains well.
So, if you want to experiment together with me, sign up!
If you know the area, you can still join, but don't tell the group.
You would not want to loose out an opportunity on watching the rest of the group to get lost, right!

Cascades update for 25 Feb
Its about the wettest I have ever seen. Its not draining and the puddles are huge. Many lines are being carved into clay. Surprising as I thought this last week would have improved.

Manly Dam update for 25 Feb
The track is drying out in many areas but the streams and puddles of last week have become mud holes.
Curl Curl creek is still flowing and there are areas of seepage still active after Manly Vale School, before and above the Golf Course, and in the usual places on the Allambie side. The big mud hole in the little swamp section after Cootamundra and before Monserra is now a full scale quagmire. No way around it and and getting difficult to ride through.
Those dry sections with any gradient are eroded by the water running off, which means the track is rough and with a lot of loose rocks.
And WTF some doofus has added a ramp to make the big rock in the middle of the sandy single track before the Golf Course easy to get over - I guess the next stage will be to remove the big rock and then pave the whole track.
Please stop dumbing down the track! If you can't ride it learn how. If you don't want to learn how go play on the roads.
