Sore shoulders while riding

Just went out and bought a Trek Remedy 9 and with all this weather i haven’t been out as much..... So i m not sure if my shoulders and neck are getting sore from not enough riding or poor bike setup??? Anyone have any idea what this may be and how to fix it? The LBS di a quick fit but not sure he really knew what he was doing.

Had the bike a couple of weeks now, should I go back to the LBS???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Berowra Valley update for 12 Feb

Rode Quarry Rd track today. Considering all the rain it is in really good condition. Still a bit of water on the loop to Galston Gorge but no real issue.

What to do...

Well, after all this rain, I thought I'd give this new-fangled road riding thing a go. After two days, I can't say I'm too taken with it.

So, until the tracks dry up, I'm looking at starting cooking as a new pastime. Anybody got any decent recipes they'd like to share?

Oxford Falls - Morgan Road Tracks

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi

I've been browsing the site and forums over the last few years and enjoy what a great local resource it can be!

I live in Narrabeen and walk around the bush in Oxford Falls frequently. No agenda, just nature photography etc. Obviously I notice a mixture of MTB and power bikes.
I've seen discussions/maps on the site regarding tracks that are not to be ridden ie Moon Rock/Little Moab/Chicken Run/Lookout. I haven't noticed signs on these tracks for a while and wondered if anyone knew what's up?

Narrow Neck update for 12 Feb

Area:
Narrow Neck
Status:
Green/Open

Rode this Sun am early 7.30 on one of the few blue sky days of the Summer. It was wet in patches but the best ride we have had in a few weeks. Being up high and along the ridge line meant it dries out well. This was an alternative to riding the Oaks which with the causeway flooded was a great option. Outstanding scenery, one of the best in Sydney!

When it stops raining, i can get this thing out...

Well after 4 months of waiting... The new ride has arrived, only to be pulled apart and made to look - well - different.
When it comes to racing, the tyres will be swapped over to proper tyres... The red bling can stay...

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 11 Feb

Status:
Red/Closed

WSMTB members did an insepction of Yellomundee on Sat 11 Feb following the torrential rain on Thursday evening (100mm in 1 hour).

AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT - DO NOT GO TO YELLOMONDEE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The track is heavily damaged with large wash aways and potholes. Both the bridges over Shaws Ck are gone (ie Shaws and Trotting Track bridges) and the decent from the Farm to the Trotting Track is now dangerous with large wash aways. This means the entire area north of Shaws Farm Rd is out of action.

In the southern area, both decents from the Tower of Power and across the V-Ditch are un-ridable due to erosion damage. This puts the hill west of the fire road out of play.

IF WE GET at least 3-4 fine days in a row, then it may be possible to do a restricted loop such as:

- Start, single track to Nicki's Corner, left onto fireroad, 2nd right (just befor causway), and the up and down to Max's Bridge
- the Moto-X track and Hidden Bridge and back to Start area (large puddles at bottom of Moto-X track)
- over the tractor tyre and start the northern loop
- LEFT onto Shaws Fram Rd. There is no point in going right!
- ride 150m then left off Farm Rd, and then zig-zag back to Start

This gives about a 5km loop. BUT please only do this after things have dried out after 3-4 fine days.

It would be best if everyone just gave Yellomundee a rest until we are able to get in and do a heap of work.

thanks
