Advice on Rotorua NZ
So I am heading to the World Cup in NZ and naturally want to take in some of these beautiful Rotorua trails I have been hearing about. My question is do I hire a bike over there (my preference as I'm travelling around the country a bit) or do I take my own bike over. I ride a Giant Trance. Does anyone know where you can hire and the expense etc?

Back to 40 minutes (carrying 3 beers and a 1/4 butterfly lamb!)
Have been riding Cascades 4 gates for 2 weeks. Had a spare hour this afternoon after having friends round for lunch.
Thought "what better way to burn off the beers and lamb than a cruse round the dam". Felt a bit seedy from the Parkway to Hydro but after that felt good.

Fine to ride but bike is going to get dirty and that drive train will need a good clean!

Lane Cove National Park update for 28 Aug
Devlins Creek track will be closed from Pennant Hills Firetrail to Whale Rock from Aug 29 for 6 weeks. They're finally going to fix the damaged causeway... I spoke to the contractor this morning and they're going to build a new bridge.
There are still plenty of soggy sections everywhere...

Womerah Range update for 28 Aug
Womerah Range is fine. Jacks Track is very wet on the down hill and has been churned up quite a bit so you need to be very careful on the descent. It's actually the wettest I've seen it.

All good here. A little more water then normal from the 85mm last weekend but still good.

Narrow Neck update for 27 Aug
mostly pretty dry although a couple of large puddles and on one of the downhill sections towards the tower has worn away from the rain/water flow, creating a nasty catcher for the unwary rider. (on the left hand side near the bottom of the downhill section)
