The Oaks update for 09 Apr

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Area:
The Oaks
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

The large puddles are back on the single track from the rain overnight. The last rocky section between the Ironbarks and the causeway car park should be avoided if you don't like badly eroded tracks. Take the road exit just after the logs launches.

Winmalee update for 29 Mar

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Area:
Winmalee
Status:
Green/Open

Ok, after what seemed like endless rain, finally the single tracks at winmalee have finally dried enough for riding, there is still a bit of boggy riding, i have filled most of it, all drainage is working and fine, still take care at the nursery end, rain has made it a lot harder to ride, please dont ride around mud patches, there are some that have suspicously widened, single track up above the grotto(fall line) is fine, if not a lot harder now, while the grotto run is just about all trimmed and finished, it has not been affected by rain at all, just fern invasion, blue gum is still very very boggy in 2 places, although npws has indicated it may do something with this section, all else is a goer!

The Oaks update for 28 Mar

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The Oaks
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

The area at the log jumps is very chopped up and mushy, riders should avoid this section of single track and stick to the main fire trail.

Knapsack Reserve update for 28 Mar

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Fairly dry with a few small patches that still needs to be avoid. Again, stay away from the back of the soccer fields, it's just to wet with water draining from the soccer fields and the Lantana has gone wild blocking the track.
