Sun 4th March - Clean Up Wallaroo Day
As you may be aware next Sunday is Clean Up Australia Day.
Nifty and I have been in touch about cleaning up some of the crap in the bush at Wallaroo and eventually he came across the East Seaham Clean Up Australia Day Group. We've been told that the NPWS ranger will be attending and there will be a skip at the end of Lone Pine Rd (which is one of the main roads through Wallaroo for those not familiar with the area).

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 24 Feb
Kennys/Baileys paddock red - most trails are fun which is a big step up from early in the week though ad per paddos post below plenty of puddles - take it easy in those spots - tends to be a narrow track through most puddles now
I'd you must do baileys ( if you can't figure put a away round it ) go real slow into the mud area - it's an otb worthy of funniest home videos ATM

Awaba State Forest update for 24 Feb
Too wet to worry about. The usual wet low lying areas are really bad, but normally ok bits are also very wet. One puddle was half wheel depth. Had to carry bike around several spots to avoid destroying trail. Also tree down across the track around "Waynes World" I think it was. Also rode Ourimbah this morning, and while it is nearly as wet, it is more ridable and fun. Give it a try.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 22 Feb
Just i case anyone is in doubt - its red. went for a quick stint down the goos in the wet trails - down to the picnic table, climb back up, rinse, repeat (PB for the hill climb woohoo!) plenty of standing water around makes for a slow ride on 50% of the trails.
Cudos though for snakes and ladders construction, that is one phenomenally well drained trail, as is seismic

Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 20 Feb
Had a ball yesterday with all trails rideable an fun. Was extra good as the first ride after 9 weeks recovery from dislocated shoulder. I can see the rain coming down and water flowing down the trail will mess it up for a day or two until we get dry weather again.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 18 Feb
there are a couple of little nasty bits, however these are unlikely to dry out quickly.
There is about 10 meters on Kenny's that is amber, twisties has 2 boggy sections maybe a meter each, other than that it is pretty good. Baileys is a bog of course however the mower has cut in a high line around the top of the paddock, take that line to stay out of the mud

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 17 Feb
Avoid Kenny's!!
kenny's and baileys paddock is very red - bad for your bike, you have to ride real slow across baileys - i would head towards the picnic table at the point near the beach, head north west along the usual trail, but just when you turn right and go down towards the creek, instead turn left across the meadow and along Baileys track, cross concrete bridge and climb the fire road to baileys paddock then continue on for BJs high roller etc.
The big dipper is also very avoidable. Upper shaft is good, the lower section is best avoided (ie go straight down the powerline easement)
Amber assumes you can read and avoid kennys
