Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 01 Dec
Trails are generally fairly good, but there is numerous spots with standing water/mud. Pay particular attention to the first bog area as you come into Bailey's Paddock. I nearly went over the bars as the front wheel disappeared into a soft and deep mud hole.

Finally after a few attempts I finished a 100 klm enduro even in training I hadn't done more than 75 klm so to finish 110 klm was a great feeling, I know it was much slower than most of you guys but I just wanted to finish so tried to keep heart rate around 80% and enjoy the trails which were great, thank you hue for a great event will do it again next year hopefully quicker and now I know the track a bit better I can hammer the single track a bit harder . Now back to training for Dirtworks 100 next may

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 29 Nov
Checked it out this morning. The paddock between Kenny's and High Roller is still boggy.
Otherwise, it's 99.9% sweet, but there are still some wet spots -- unfortunately some of these are in the apex of turns so they are still soft.
If you're out there, go easy and RIDE, DON'T SLIDE.

new rider
Hi All
My wife surprised me for my birthday yesterday with a new mountain bike and would love to get involved with some riding.
Is there any times/courses/groups for old outer condition riders wishing to have some fun.
I live pretty close to Leggy/Glenrock rode there a lot when I was a lot younger but things have changed since the late 70s/80s
Singleton MTB track update for 27 Nov
Going on my experience of riding this place and the way the weather has been today, warm and windy. I declare the singo mtb track open for business.

Trainers
I'm out of action for a while after having my shoulder reconstructed and was thinking about buying a trainer to help keep my fitness up. So thoughts on which brands/types are good or not? I'll be using a 26er with road tyres.
Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 26 Nov
Washout. Loads of rain has turned trails into rivulets. Better suited to a canoe. Leave bike at home and walk the Bicentenial Loop where you can see the rare site of the waterfall flowing in the fern grove.
