Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 31 Aug
A few puddles on the single track nothing major,mostly sweet and very tacky.Bog hole on the creek crossing at very bottom of shit happens and water on fire trail between creek crossings. Pick of the trails is shaft hard and fast!

Seeking people to ride with
Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to post my query.
I just moved to Newcastle from Sydney and am keen to mingle my way into a group to go riding with - I just missed out on today's Jesmond ride (should check more often!). I am an intermediate XC/single track rider who is looking to get fit again.
There doesn't seem to be alot of social rides posted....

nice'n'dry but for water across the firetrail from headland to creek cossing in 3 spots-was getting a lot of usage this arvo-just keep an eye out for riders doing trails in wrong direction, had 5 incidents of that today-we need those totem poles to prevent someone getting hurt badly!!

Drying out rapidly, very little standing water on single trail.Just watch the creek crossing on the very bottom of shit happens its a bog.Shaft is the stand out trail fast and tacky.With the sun out its going to be an excellent weekend for shredding trail!!

Haven't looked at the whole trail network, but there's no way it's that bad anymore.
There's been no rain for 2 days so should be getting better.

Awaba State Forest update for 24 Aug
Went for a spin this afternoon. Trail is generally in very good condition. A couple of minor puddles around the trail and the descent immediately after the bridge at the top of the Camel Back Climb is very slippery clay. Other than that the trail is on the dryer side of tacky.
If the weather stays like this there will be no issues at all by the weekend,

Jesmond Bushland Cycling Trail Map.
As it has been raining and i haven't had the chance to ride, I have put together a map of Jesmond Bushland with all the trails that I know of.
I mainly ride in the Eastern Side so that is why there aren't very many trails mapped on the Western Side.
The names are what me and my mates call them. Please tell me if you find any trails you want added or if the names of the trails need to be changed.
I have put a little key in the map and need to come up with what direction the trails should be.

Torrential Rain Overnight. Glenrock was already wet - now it's worse - good day to give it a miss.
We will be doing some trailwork, what we do will depend on how wet it is.
