Singleton MTB track update for 19 Aug
Will be a little wet up there at the moment but we have another issue for riders to look out for. There has been some significant Aboriginal artifacts found next to/on the track near the big water pipes at the bottom of the DH track. Area has been taped off so please do not enter the taped off area until further notice.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 19 Aug
Rode this morning, plenty of good stuff, but quite a few puddles and mushy bits. probably from the rain Thurs morn before sun-up. If it gets any wetter it wont be any good, but if it there's no more rain it'll be tops.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 17 Aug
Got in early today for a spin and the trails are great. Most of the puddles on the single trail are gone leaving only a few wet bits on the management trail.
Really there is no issues to report.
Looks like we are going to cop a heap of rain for the next few days so get in while it's good.
Lenny's pick of the trails today;
- snakes and ladders. Traction galore for the climb.
- shaft, just watch for the kamikaze rabbits trying to run under your wheel on the shale DH
- twisties

What shoes?
Hi all.
Just wondering what kinds of shoes people are wearing for riding. I am not keen on the cleats as i know they can be a bugger to get off quickly. I have platforms on my GT but the shoes i wear don't seem to be gripping the small spikes too well, epsecially if you get a bit of moisture or grit on them.
Is there any particular type of footwear you wear or brand? I am thinking a lightweight hiking shoe with reasonable grip would do the trick? I tried a pair of joggers but didn't like the feel, or lack of, between my foot and the pedals.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Awaba State Forest update for 15 Aug
Went out before work for a few laps. Was a little worried due to last nights rain, but the trails are spot on and the bike was still clean at the end of the ride.
Pick of the sections today;
- Back of the red loop was fast and tacky,
- Salad Bowl as always was great,
- The descent out of Skids are for kids was the best I have seen it.
Road in is a little slippery in patches so take it easy, but the trails are great.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 15 Aug
A bit wet up there this morning, coming up blackboy traction was nearly non-existent. Very slippery clay in a lot of areas. good sunny day should sort it.
