Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 20 Jun
Interesting ride today. Most trails are looking good particularly the new work adjacent to gun club road.
Upper kennys is sweet but the lower black pipe sections are still pretty soggy. Baileys paddock is a huge mess, its going to need some serious sun and trail work to recover - Avoid at all costs or walk through there.
Shaft is dry and looking great and snakes and ladders is also dry and ready to ride. I could hear moto's running around all morning, at one stage i could hear them coming up BJ's but i was to far away to catch them, we need to start getting serious as i had a walker mention to me that she felt unsafe knowing motorbikes were tearing around

Singleton MTB track update for 19 Jun
Did a lap of the track today. Few of the dips are a bit muddy, but passable. Track is a bit muddy in some locations and tyre was choc full of mud, but as it dries out and more riding is done, the track will be in excellent condition. At this stage, the track is overall good condition.

Singleton MTB track update for 18 Jun
I have not been up there but it has been posted on the Singleton MTB's facebook page that it is pretty good. A few spots that are a bit wet still but mostly ok.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 18 Jun
I'm using all the names on the latest map so people know what area I'm talking about. I road G-Rock at 3pm this arvo (Saturday).
Double Barrel, Twisties ('n'Dip) and Reload all good.
Kenny is wet in the usual spots with a few little mudholes and puddles, HOWEVER the east end of Kenny in the meadow is a MESS. If you can not swim do not fall off here or you will drown. Best to avoid it all together.
High Roller, BJ's (surprise), (Sh)it happens and Seuss Land are all good with a few muddy holes. The biggest danger here is all the tree matter that has fallen onto the track. Definitely ripe for ripping of a rear derailer. I came close.
Avoided the Shaft due to earlier reports. Thanks guys.
Snakes and Ladders all good, although can the MTBers who ride down it not lock up your back brake and destroy the track. The Alliance have worked hard to make it a pleasure to ride and it's getting rutted up already.
Seismic is on fire! The rain has washed all the loose stuff away and the berms are big fun. Same with 6 shooter.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 18 Jun
Just back from some trail work and it is surprisingly dry in the park.
Double Barrel is great other than one low point between billabongs.
Kenny's is pretty much trouble free.
There was reports from riders coming past though that Bailey's is a mess and shaft should be avoided. The quarries are also quiet sticky.
All up a lot better than expects, some trails listed above with issues, but drying quickly.
If someone rode the part and has a better report please post a new one.

Most of the singletack is still very wet.
Areas of new work on Shaft definately a no-go.
Baileys Paddock a mess.
Puddles around Mud Jumps
You could have a pretty good ride on the management and fire trails.

Jesmond Mountainbike Trails
Some big news coming out of Jesmond.
After a few emails I had a chat with Council today and they are keen to see mtb legitimized in Jesmond, but they also want to see a decent sized race put on.
They seem to be pushing the healthy lifestyle aspect, the fact it links by cycleway to much of the NCC population. We are starting by mapping the trails, but they have a very open mind and maybe with some planning an inner city DH type trail could be possible (not promising anything).
Awaba State Forest update for 15 Jun
Awaba is officually closed by the club. This weekends club round has also been cancelled.
The club is currently putting up closed / enter at own risk sign at the entrance of the track.
The trail crew has reported some sections of significant erosion that would be worse than 2 days ago and could be unsafe to ride.
More details to be posted soon, but please stay out of the Awaba Trail System please until we get things sorted.

Is there anywhere good to ride around Muswellbrook NSW?
If so, can anyone give me directions?
