Unless you have a boat and/or hover craft, maybe best to stay away and look at an alternate activity like syncronised swimming, or knitting.

Should be a mess for a few days now.

If you must ride, pick of the trails are fernleigh, the warners bay foreshore, honeysuckle to nobbies and the Wallsend tram line. The racecourse circuit is also open.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 29 May

Got back late from a weekend away and didn't realise how much rain we've had. Super keen to try out my new lights so I headed out.

Basically it was a slop fest on the new work and there was also a fair bit of standing water and mud on the mgmt trails. Shaft was the worst, chopped up and unrideable in parts.

I called it a day as soon as I could get out of there and can only apologise for helping to chop it up a bit more.

Another 3mm of rain overnight Sunday to 9am morning so the track was damp but just tacky not muddy. A few mud puddles here and there but minimal. A decent amount of rain is forecast over the next two days though, so it's likely to get muddy from Monday if decent rain falls in the area (Cooranbong is the closest weather station)

We just had about 20mm of rain in the last hour, I doubt conditions will be any good in the morning.

Conditions are absolutely perfect. OOps is that rain I hear?

Might need to update the status soon.

Oh well the trails need it.

New Bike Time - Mountaincycle Battery

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Below is a preview, click to read the full post

The new trails, particularly the twisty downward inclined sections.....won't say downhill.....have inspired me to go get a new ride.

Frame/fork has made its way to sydney and I'll be getting it friday next week. I expect the building of the bike will take for ever.

This won't be my every day bike (that's coming later in the year http://www.mountaincycle.com/zenII), so I decided to go something that will be fun on the downward sections, most likely a lot of work on the way back up, but good for some fun desents, general stuffing around and a bit of jumping.

Meet the Battery.
