Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 07 Jun

Amber/Some Issues

I was in there this afternoon and while most trails are good there are still a few wet spots, made worse be the traffic over the weekend. Overall I would say it's fine to ride IF you stay away from problem spots and get off and walk around mud patches rather than contributing to trail erosion. Pretty isolated wet patches overall trail surface was dry.

I would call the following trails Green: Upper Seuss Land (with the usual puddles), (sh)It Happens, Bjs, Snakes and Ladders, Jumping the Gun, Black Boy

Following trails are yellow with minimal mud patches: Upper Kenny's, High Roller, lower Seuss Land

The following trails need to be left well alone: Shaft (photos attached) and the sniggle round the shit works fence from the bottom of shaft to the bottom of BJs is a mess. Also the track between to the two quarries/jump sites is sludge and needs to be left alone, probably until summer!

Lower Kenny's/Bailey's paddock is muddy which is annoying as if this was ok then a loop would still be possible. The Fire trail linkages are all ok, although still damp in places.

With more windy dry weather this could all dry out over the next few days, but rain forecast for the weekend Sad

There was more rain overnight on an already saturated base, tracks are significantly wetter than yesterday (at least at Seuss area which is where I stuck my head in). I would leave it til this arvo at the earliest for riding.

Drying out pretty well in most areas. The clay based sections are still a bit soft, parts of Double Barrel and the middle section of Shaft for example.

Can't really call it red any more or our credibility will suffer.

Otherwise we can try to reduce impact - please ride in the right direction and try not to skid.
