replaceing rear derailer cable

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

the rear derailer shift is getting heavy on my trance, was thinking of replaceing cable with a full lenght houseing. Any advice on brand and weather this is a good idea also was thinking of re routing it down under bottom bracket away from shock and to achieve a smoother path.

All good. Seemingly unaffected by the recent showers, all tracks are dry but not dusty, perfect riding condition! Most of the sticks and debris from last week's slashing have been cleared from the Fernleigh management/world cup area as well.

Hi my name is Trevor and I'll be heading down your way on Thursday and have 3 days up my sleeve for riding and was wondering where the best places to ride will be. It will be the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Trevor.

Heading South

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

A mate and I are heading south from Newcastle next month for a long weekend of xc riding in Canberra. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to ride on the way down and back? I rode the Fling in November so re-visiting Bundanoon/Wingello is on the list. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

all good. tacky this morning, probably nice and dry by this afternoon. watch for the mozzies though. What used to be the biggest bog up there after a downpour is now the best drained, driest piece of trail. good work trail fairys

Amber/Some Issues

Got caught in this mornings downpour, hightailed it on the fireroads back to the tar, but there were some sizable rivers running by the time I got there.

Might be worth leaving it for 12/24hrs or so, depending on what the sun/wind does for the rest of the day......
